About the Authors
Jeanne Liedtka is a professor at the Darden Graduate School of Business Administration at the University of Virginia. Formerly the Executive Director of the School's Batten Institute, a foundation established to develop thought leadership in the fields of entrepreneurship and corporate innovation, Jeanne has also served as Chief Learning Officer for the United Technologies Corporation, and as the Associate Dean of the MBA Program at Darden. She has consulted with a wide variety of organizations and their leaders, from museums to law firms to large corporations, since beginning her career as a strategy consultant for the Boston Consulting Group.
Bob Rosen is a Batten Fellow and Chairman and CEO of Healthy Companies International, an executive consulting firm that advises companies in leading change and building high performance organizations. As psychologist and business advisor, Rosen has interviewed more than 250 CEOs around the world and speaks to thousands of executives each year. He is the best–selling author of Just Enough Anxiety, Leading People, Global Literacies, and The Healthy Company and speaks regularly to the media. HCI'S clients include Northrop Grumman, ING, Johnson & Johnson, Merck, and PricewaterhouseCoopers.
Rob Wiltbank is a Batten Fellow and partner of Buerk Dale Victor, a growth stage venture capital fund based in Seattle Washington, working with dozens of new ventures in a wide variety of industries. He is also a professor of strategic management in the Atkinson Graduate School of Management at Willamette University, the largest full time MBA program in Oregon. His groundbreaking research includes the first empirical examination of the outcomes achieved by angel investors, and the role of entrepreneurial expertise in decision making. He consults with a wide variety of organizations on the topics of governance and the pursuit of new opportunities.
